Before writing novels, Lucinda worked as a criminal lawyer and later a barrister, (starting as an intern in the Deep South of the United States on appeals for inmates languishing on Death Row).
During her time as a lawyer, she defended everyone from vulnerable young children to grown up murderers, even prosecuting environmental crime and working on enquiries into abuse in our Defence Forces.
But between barristers’ wigs and babies, the pen always called. There aren’t many happy endings in the law, but now she gets to guarantee them.
She lives in coastal New South Wales, Australia, with her English husband, their three (soon to be four) children, a spoilt cat, four guinea pigs and a few local pythons who roam the jungle.
